AMETEK, Inc. announced that it has completed the acquisition of Arizona Instrument

Arizona Instrument is a provider of differentiated, high-precision moisture and gas measurement instruments for use in high-value applications. Arziona Instruments manufacturers Mercury Vapor Analyzer for use in the field and in the lab to detect mercury vapor in air at levels as low as 0.05 µg/m3.

Arizona Instruments also provide Hydrogen Sulfide Analyzers that detect hydrogen sulfide gas in air at levels as low as 3 parts per billion (ppb). Sensitive enough to ensure compliance with odor and other ordinances, durable and convenient enough for frequent use.

The also have the Computrac line of moisture analyzers that are used in a wide variety of industries to companies that want to improve dryer efficiencies and eliminating costly rework and downtime expenses.

“Arizona Instrument is an exciting addition to AMETEK’s growing presence in the food, pharmaceutical and environmental markets and nicely complements our Brookfield Engineering business,” comments Mr. Zapico. “Its differentiated products are supporting customers’ increasingly complex production processes and more stringent environmental and safety standards.”

Arizona Instrument, with annual sales of roughly $15 million, was acquired for approximately $38 million. Headquartered in Chandler, AZ, it joins AMETEK as part of its Electronic Instruments Group, a leader in the design and manufacture of advanced instruments for the aerospace, power, process and industrial markets.
