New Safer Portable 4-Gas Detectors Never Need Charging

The infrared LEL sensor doesn’t have to continuously heat up to detect gas which allows the battery to last for months instead of hours. There are other benefits besides long run times that contribute to the safety features of portable gas detectors equipped with infrared technology. Infrared LEL sensors need no oxygen to detect gas. They detect gas with an infrared beam of light, so they always can detect gas accurately in oxygen deficient environments. Infrared LEL sensors are durable and dependable. They have no fragile filament or bead to break, burst or get poisoned and do not suffer from reduction in sensor life after repeated exposure to gas. Due to advanced infrared sensor technology and current designs, some detectors are factory calibrated and virtually maintenance free. This makes gas detection easy in remote areas where detectors cannot be easily calibrated on a regular basis. The continuous self-test and fail-to-safe functions of the infrared LEL sensor give assurance that you are always protected. Infrared sensing is an active technology which continuously monitors for sensor failures and immediately communicates them to the wearer.
