New Initiatives on the 2018 Expo Floor
The 2018 exposition will be a three-day event running Tuesday, February 27 – Thursday, March 1. Additionally, Tuesday afternoon will be “Expo Only,” meaning no technical sessions or Short Courses are scheduled, except for the posters on the Expo Floor. This allows attendees ample time to visit exhibiting companies.
The expo floor will also feature two new NEXUS Theaters. These theaters will feature engaging presentations from our exhibitors, selected speakers, Pittcon Publisher Partners, NASA and more. Nearly new features include the Expo Only pass for individuals who only want access to the exposition and the large interactive park area, this year dubbed Alligator Alley. “The Alley” houses the Lab Gauntlet, DemoZones, Virtual Reality Experiences, LEGO® Gravity Car Racing, the Pittcon Booth and much more.
The 2018 Exposition Chairman Eli Absey commented, “With the new three-day exposition format and Tuesday ‘Expo Only’ afternoon, we expect the floor to be buzzing with excitement. We’re looking forward to our new NEXUS Theaters, as these presentations are shaping up to be a great educational, entertaining and networking opportunity for all.” He added, “I would also like to extend my, and the entire organizing committee’s, thanks to our platinum sponsor Shimadzu and silver sponsor RotaChrom.”
The exhibition will consist of 184 (approximately 26%) international exhibiting companies headquartered in 33 countries outside of the United States such as the China, Canada, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom. Additionally, 90 companies will make their debut on the Pittcon exposition floor. An up-to-date list of all exhibitors and descriptions can be found at https://pittcon.org/
